Ermine just spent two great days at @outdoor_retai Ermine just spent two great days at @outdoor_retailer spreading the word about Nordic skates and wild ice! This year's Outdoor Retailer was held in Minneapolis, and brought together thousands of people in North America's outdoor industry. Over the course of the show we had nearly nonstop conversations with magazine writers, fellow product makers, retail buyers, and media producers. Explaining Nordic skating to others in the outdoor industry was very rewarding - and we walked away from the show with new retailer relationships, too. One of the highlights of the show was running into our friend @theworldwithangelina, who is starring in the first feature-length wild ice skating film, @wildicefilm. We were excited to see a fellow wild ice skater at the show, and it was good hearing updates about the film. Thank you to @outdoor_retailer for putting on a solid event (the mayor of Minneapolis even showed up to open it!) and for this opportunity. This was a big moment for Ermine, and hopefully one more small part of Nordic skating's growth in North America.

From Skilak Lake to Rabbit Slough to Byers Lake, Denali is ever-present on the horizon at many of Alaska's most iconic Nordic skating destinations. Our new stickers celebrate Denali and its great significance in our home state. The Denali sticker is free on our website until Monday, with no coupon code required. The sticker measures 3x3" and is printed in the USA on durable waterproof vinyl. Perfect for bumpers, bottles, bikes, and more. Limit 3 per order. As always, shipping is free nationwide!
Ermine goes to Juneau to talk to legislators and l Ermine goes to Juneau to talk to legislators and legislative staff about @ermineskate and wild ice skating! The trip included office visits with Senate Majority Leader Cathy Gissel, Senator Forrest Dunbar, and Representative Zack Fields. It also included a presentation about wild ice skating at the Legislative Lunch and Learn. It was a lot of fun talking to Alaska policymakers about the role wild ice skating is playing in Alaska's culture and economy. Everyone was enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful, and there were lots of suggestions about how to support and grow our wild ice scene. Huge thank you to Representative Ky Holland and Rep. Holland's staff for putting together this amazing trip!

This season, Ermine sponsored three cats for adopt This season, Ermine sponsored three cats for adoption at @clearcreekkitties. We're happy to report that Glow, Grumpy Spice, and Mango have all found homes and have moved in with their new families. Our primary nonprofit partner has long been Food Bank of Alaska. However, there are many pressing needs in Anchorage, for creatures both big and small. We're not just trying to make the best Nordic skates on the market today, we're trying to make Alaska a better place to work and live for everyone. We greatly appreciate your support during the 2025/26 season, which has made nonprofit partnerships like these possible.
