The Ak1 is Ermine’s newest A Series Nordic skate. Virtually every aspect of the Ak1 has been upgraded over previous models, from the quality of blade steel to the streamlined profile to the pins holding the blade in place. The Ak1 retains the ruggedness, stability, and reliability that earned the A Series its reputation in Alaska and beyond, while offering skaters improved performance and more binding mounting positions.
The Ak1 is compatible with select NNN and NNN BC bindings. Add a binding to your order (free expert installation included at no extra cost) or request mounting hardware only. The L10 is an Alaska-made Nordic skate that’s equally at home on challenging remote ice and racing across Grade-A glass. A narrower 1.2mm blade and internal cutouts save weight, while the robust 6061-T6 aluminum frame provides above-class blade support and stability for the bumps. The L10 wants to go fast and stay fast, without shying away from the rough stuff.
L10 blades are made from hardened 440A stainless steel. The frames are coated in our signature rugged polymer-ceramic, and the decks are fully laser etched in-house with intricate eye-catching patterns.

Adults love their Nordic skates, and now young adventurers can too! Kit is the first ever Nordic skate for kids. Kit combines premium construction and materials with a fun, kid-friendly design.
We believe that outdoor gear built for kids must adhere to the same high standards as gear for adults. Kit uses the same improved 1.57mm 440C steel blades, hardened American-made coiled spring pins, and new streamlined design as our Ak1 skate, just sized down and optimized for the smaller Jr. NNN binding.
Kit comes in three eye-catching polymer ceramic colors, and all marks are permanently laser etched. This is a skate that a child can use for years, pass down to his or her siblings, and then pass on again to someone else. Kit is built for fun, and engineered to last.
Kit is suitable for those with a maximum boot size of EU40, and is available with or without bindings pre-installed.
