Unlike conventional ice poles, which have a single ice pole handle, the Pikmakarn Turbo has two handles on each pole: one positioned perfectly for double-poling, and a second lower handle positioned just right for testing ice. Meanwhile, the contemporary stainless steel bullet tip and hardened aluminum shaft keep the pole light, stiff, and responsive. The result is an extraordinarily versatile high-performance pole that excels at both double-poling and ice testing.

Supportive ice pole handle + double-poling handle
The Pikmakarn Turbo incorporates two purpose-built handles. The orange upper handle resembles a traditional cross-country ski pole handle and is positioned correctly for powerful and efficient double-poling. The lower handle is a true ice pole handle, with a wide, supportive base to support a skater’s hand when striking ice. Both handles are waterproof and weatherproof.
Brightly-colored aluminum shafts with double grips
The shaft of the Pikmakarn Turbo is powder coated with a bright neon yellow-green to aid visibility and safety. The premium-quality aluminum pole is light, stiff, and resistant to damage. Two foam grips on each pole provide multiple warm and comfortable handling points, both while skating with a single pole and while testing ice with both poles locked together.
Stainless steel tips with studded tip protectors
Say goodbye to the old squared ice pole tips! Like other contemporary Swedish ice poles, the Pikmakarn Turbo uses a hardened stainless steel bullet tip. These tips penetrate ice efficiently, allowing them to be smaller and much lighter than older designs. This lighter tip dramatically reduces swing weight and makes double-poling much more enjoyable. The Swedish stainless steel used for the tip is extremely resistant to rust and the base of the tip is flush with the pole, all but eliminating snagging. Studded tip protectors make the poles safer when the integrated tip isn’t needed, while still giving the poles good purchase on packed snow and ice.
