A strikingly colorful collaboration with Anchorage’s Yogurt Lounge
Notes on the Ermine Skate L10-Y
“The L10-Y was a collaboration with Yogurt Lounge, a beloved locally-owned South Anchorage business (and frequent pit stop after summer hikes and winter skating trips). Yogurt Lounge’s self-serve frozen yogurt bar allows customers to craft their own colorful, fun, and chaotic desserts. I wanted the L10-Y to reflect that spirit of tasty whimsy.
To execute on this concept, I once again went back to our anodizing artist partner in Colorado. After a bit of back-and-forth we had the execution sorted out, and I was beyond thrilled at how wild these skates turned out. On the ice, they shimmered and reflected a fro-yo-like rainbow of color. We launched the skates at Yogurt Lounge (of course) and they sold about as fast as it takes a bowl of froyo to melt.”
