The Ak1 X is the first Nordic ice skate designed and drilled specifically for Xplore bindings. The Ak1 X uses our proprietary Salmonshark X binding mounting pattern, allowing fine-tuned positioning of Xplore toe and heel pieces over the sakte. No more drilling, and no more compromising adjustability: the Ak1 X is the ultimate wild ice skate for those on Rottefella’s new Xplore system.
Beyond its new mounting system, the Ak1 X shares basic properties with our standard-issue Ak1. The Ak1 line includes Tuned 440C stainless steel blades specified specifically for Nordic ice skates, upgraded pinning and machining, a beautiful and durable polymer-ceramic coating, and industry-leading 1.6mm blades.
The Ak1 X can be ordered with Xplore bindings. For those who do not purchase bindings along with their skates, Xplore installation hardware is included at no extra cost.
Note: Ak1 X skates have an additional lead time of 1-2 weeks before shipping after an order has been placed.
